The West Midlands Fire Service Community Heritage Group was established in November 2005 with the support of the Chief Fire Officer and is made up of people who are interested in the heritage of West Midlands Fire Service with the view of preserving this valuable historical information.
The group consists of serving Firefighters, support staff and retired personnel, members of the Fire Brigades Society and members of the public who, have an interest in the fire service.
The group has looked and is continuing to look into the memorabilia that we have across the Brigade so that this may form part of an inventory in order that we can record and preserve these items for future generations to enjoy.
With this information the group is also able to offer assistance with enquries received from members of the public into their relatives who may have worked for us in the past.
